Caritas Yuen Long Chan Chun Ha Secondary School visited Shue Yan University to explore the Virtual Reality Yulan Museum II
On Thursday, 04 July 2024, students and teachers from Caritas Yuen Long Chan Chun Ha Secondary School visited Shue Yan University to explore the Virtual Reality Yulan Museum II. The purpose of this visit was to deepen the students’ understanding of the importance and traditional values of Yulan culture.
During the visit, the students first explored the exhibition area of the Virtual Digital Yulan Cultural Museum. Here, they learned about the origin, development, and inheritance of Yulan culture, gaining a comprehensive understanding of it. They learned that Yulan Festival is an important traditional holiday where people worship their ancestors and the deceased, and various rituals and activities are held.
Next, the students visited the interactive area of the Virtual Reality Yulan Museum II. Here, they experienced Yulan culture firsthand through various virtual reality and interactive displays. They were able to participate in Yulan Festival rituals through virtual reality technology and learned about the different ways Yulan Festival is celebrated in different regions.
After the visit, the students gained a deeper understanding and appreciation for Yulan culture. They expressed that this visit was highly beneficial, as it not only increased their knowledge of Yulan culture but also broadened their horizons.
